Our East Chapter hosted a special Team Epic gathering at Uprise Brewing — the first of its kind in Spokane in over six years. Team Epic members, Evergreen’s highest-level donors, gathered for a relaxed happy hour followed by a private dinner. The event brought together passionate supporters, East Chapter board members, and statewide staff for an evening of conversation, shared stories, trivia, and a collective look toward the future of mountain biking in Washington.

Beacon Hill in Spokane, Washington, offers an incredible variety of trails, but it’s especially known for its rocky technical features and numerous rock slabs. If you're new to riding rock rolls, it can feel intimidating and even overwhelming—where do you begin to progress safely and confidently? Words & photos by Jane Patten of the Biking Betties

We present to you the 2025 Dirty Dozen, our 6th annual summer trail challenge!  This is a virtual activity for you and your friends to get out and explore 12 new trails outside of your network, all across the state of Washington, highlighting the riding in each of our regional chapters, plus a few outside of our chapters.  And, while it’s not a contest or competition, those who complete each trail before December 31st, 2025 and record their rides using TrailForks will receive a 2025 Dirty Dozen Trailforks badge as a virtual medal of honor.  New this year: Riders who complete all twelve trails, and have proof (even if you don't record on TrailForks, we'll accept photos of every trail, Strava segments, etc.) get the official 2025 Dirty Dozen sticker!

Words by Jessica Mavica Photos by Holly Roa This year’s Shovel & Shred was our biggest yet - with over 70 attendees and 30 volunteers and trail builders coming together for a weekend of digging, shredding, and community-building vibes in Darrington, WA. This event, that’s been hosted yearly since 2021, offers a unique opportunity for women and non-binary mountain bikers to grow their skills and confidence by spending a day building trails, followed by a day of riding those trails, alongside expert builders and pro athletes.

Duthie Jam went off earlier this month! With fresh reshapings of Gravy Train and GHY trails opening to the public after more than 1,000 human hours of trail work over several months, the stoke came early and stayed late. Hundreds of riders broke in the new Gravy Train before the community whip off and trick sessions had riders of all ages flying.
